Thank goodness I'm going out for convivial sushi tonight! Knowing me, I'll likely end up in Borders as well, staring wistfully at tarot decks.

What's your favourite tarot deck? Is there one you think every collection needs? Goodness knows my collection is growing in fits and starts, but I'm always aware that there must be gaps.

My working deck is Tarot of the Old Path.

Visconti-Sforza is lush and early, full of gold but no handy interpretative tips in the pikkies.

I liked the Mage tarrot deck, but found the artwork on Cups to be a bit whitewolf. The Major Arcarna were brilliant - with The Chariot being my favorite: it's a Zeplin with a Son of Ether in goggles looking mightily pleased with the speed.

I like the Haindl, its the only one I've got actually, and find it very expressive; we've a small Rider-Waite tucked away somewhere but I find the artwork unattractive..

I've got the Haindl, it's lovely! There's a great misty quality to some of the art that lets readers infer more meaning.

I think that's the quality that makes it work for me, I tend to use runes more than tarot but that deck really helps add extra levels when the rune answers are too limited..

I have the Zen tarot pack (albeit with the extra card removed)
The Faerie Oracle (Brian Froud piccies)
And used to own the William Blake Tarot
All of which were very beautiful

I really like my angel deck, but I can't tell you the precise name of it right now since it's packed in a box at the moment!
