Heya! So I finally decided to join in this community. Hmm...small but I do hope it'll grow.

So what's my story? Well, the first time I heard of Ender was when I saw this and checked out the comments. It made me curious so, last year, I decided to buy the book. It was great! Made me cry at the end because I wanted to sympathize with Ender. I have

that movie rumor's been going around for years. i'm sure that if they did make one, the special effects would be really cool, but would butcher the book rgarding plotlines and subplots.

I said new novels, not the movie. *laugh* But yeah. I heard of the movie rumor as well.

I've been keeping up with the ideas of those new novels. Supposedly, one will tie both the Speaker and the Shadow series together. I believe that Card plans to write about Bean's children dealing with the descolada virus. And the other novel will deal with some parts of the 400 year period after the War of the Xenocide and the time when Ender decided to become a Speaker for the Dead. (The latter event is told in a short story published in the collection titled First Meetings in the Enderverse

On the plus side, a new short novella entitled A War of Gifts was released recently. It's a story about holidays and how they are dealt with up in Battle School.

Sorry to ramble if you already knew this. o.o

And Peter's humiliation with his parents in Shadow of the Hedgemon was my favorite part of that book as well. I couldn't stop laughing whenever I reread it. XD

Nah it's okay. I don't know about the A War of Gifts part. Now if only Card's books were easy to find 'round these parts...
