This is a recording of the device used outside some UK shops to disperse young people. Thank God none near us.

I"m not falling for that one.
Or if I do, I'm not going to turn the sound on my computer up enough to hear it.
I have a 20 year old in my house and I KNOW that those frequencies are.
And my hearing will never be the same.

All that u need to remember is that high pitched sounds are very directional. J couldn't hear it from across the room but when she meant over the laptop and I played it again it physically hurt her :-(. Aurally, she is about 8 years old.
