Oh goodness yes. Though somewhat tempered by the year-long ban received by the Saints' head coach for their bounty program, my joy at seeing Tebow v. Nacho Sanchez is through the roof.
Yeah I saw the Saints ban too. =/ Harsh, I guess they want to make an example of them. Still, what did they expect? They encourage the violent nature of the sport to up the entertainment factor and then act horrified at the consequences.
I think - I hope - we're starting to see a reversal of the uber-violent nature of the game. Especially with all the lawsuits about concussion symptoms in long-retired players, the NFL (and hopefully the NFLPA, otherwise wtf are they even existing for) is starting to pay more attention. If nailing the dudes who facilitated the "KILL BRENT FAVER" 2009 NFC Championship Game is what it takes, well, I'm okay with that.
It's going to be hard on the Saints fans, what with Brees being all pissy about his contract and now no regular head coach for a year. I suppose I'll have to jump on the Panthers' bandwagon this season for the NFC South.
Well... as much as it pains me to admit it, Cutler is easily the second-best QB in the NFC North. He just needs everyone around him. I shudder to think of the damage he could do if he weren't flat on his back all the damn time and, yes, a few downfield threats.
