Thanks! But a quick calculation (thanks cross-tables!) reveals that the average rating of my opponents in 250 total tournaments games is . . . the shockingly low 1194! And this doesn't include a 6 game club tourney, which would only lower that number. I've also had the good fortune of playing Jesse Day when he was rated 978, Chris Lipe when he was unrated (first rating 559). And even in the long-ago days of 2005, we weren't so lucky to have tourneys rated days after their completion. As such, after a great Atlantic City tourney, I entered Div 6 at Nationals 3 weeks later with a whopping 86-rating-point lead over the #2 seed! I finished 4th and lost 36 points. (I also won 5 high loss prizes over 28 rounds, when no one else in the division won more than 1). That's how it took so long for me to even get to play higher-rated players
