my random answer::
i LOVE it!!! but on a totally different level than any of their other albums. i think to be a true no doubt fan (a fan of everything they've ever done), you have to appreciate all styles of music. which is what they do. i mean, you have your "tragic kingdom" fans "return of saturn" fans and now "rock steady". every album is completely different. so it's totally respectful if you say, "oh, i don't really care for that album so much as the one before." but personally, i keep my range open. and i love rock steady as much as any album they did before it!

p.s.. it's soooo fun to dance to.
