I normally don't post new fish, especially delicate ones like these, but I'll make an exception because there are so few photos of this more yellow variant on the net.
RANDOM question. We have an anthias at work that I CANNOT IDENTIFY. If I get a photo of it, and post it, could you take a crack at it?
Tentatively I think it's a lyretail anthias of some sort. The people I work with are incompetent. They don't even know what we have, and can't tell me. They were referring to this one fish as a Mystery Wrasse for a whole year. Not knowing any better, I assumed they weren't lying and I accepted this.
Until one day I happened upon an actual Mystery wrasse WHICH LOOKED NOTHING LIKE OUR FISH. After an hour of Google Fu using very big words, I discovered their so-called "mystery wrasse" is actually a Diana's hogfish.
Needless to say, I don't trust anything they tell me. SO GLAD this is my last week there!
