Mary Sue (or Marty Stu / Gary Stu as the case may be) is a character that's created that's made in the author's likeness or basically fulfills the author's desires. Err... Look on fanfiction.net for examples by the hundreds. =p And there's been talk lately about Lizzy unfortunately becoming a Mary Sue at the whim of many recent stories. ;;^^ Poor girl.
