*g* Barbossa doesn't show up until chapter 12.... And about the want of the Pearl vs. Will... Hmm. That's actually what I'm debating with when thinking ahead to possible major revisions of chapter 13...... Back when I was first working on the story, I was talking with someone about a few options and one of the options is sounding rather appealing to me at the moment--as long as it doesn't drag the story on forever and ever. ;)

Awesome, I love how you gave some explanation for Will's sudden break-down - hell, he can't even understand it...but I guess, sometimes, we subconsciously know when we've finally found someone who'll understand us. He never was able to get close enough to Elizabeth, his family caused his problems, AnaMaria probably intimidated Will a bit much...but Jack? He brings with him the right mix of insouciance, control, cleverness, and genuine caring/attraction. Nicely done.

I kinda melted a bit when Jack kissed his scars. Sensual, yet pacifying.

Can't wait to see Barbossa!

=) Thank you! I had to laugh to myself while working on this chapter because I remembered perfectly the day I first started the chapter--written during my junior year during my senior creative writing class while discussing The Bean Trees (which I wouldn't be reading until the following year), yet I was the one able to comment about story climax and resolution. *snirk* Reread the first couple paragraphs and you'll get what I mean.

I'm always so prone to toss things into my stories that relate to recent discussion topics or something I've recently heard/seen/watched. (I'm actually surprised when I look at the later chapters of this and see "hope" prevailing given my emotional state the year I was writing this... Lucky for me, really, because I'm already having enough trouble choosing revisions.)
