I am not entirely sure what the headmaster meant, by giving us these journals to write in. Everyone is using them. It seems that they are the latest point of interest, though I am not necessarily swayed by the student body's apparent decision to so naturally accept them. Of course, this is me, whom most of you are aware tend to dislike anything

Sirius! It has been too long. Summer has been terribly uneventful.

I suppose it is easier than having to wait for an owl. Especially seeing as I am the owner of a cat, and always have to borrow from the school.

My summer has been quite eventful, but I can tell you about that at Hogwarts. Unless you have read my journal.

Ah, well you will still need an owl to get letters home.

Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to read anyone's journal, including yours. Therefore, we will most likely discuss it at school.

True, but I do not often send letters home. I normally wait until my parents decide to owl me.
