A lot of people have been saying they are not fans of the shootout. For me, no gold medal game (or any big game for that matter) should be decided that way. A game between these two teams should not be allowed to go to a shootout. It's always entertaining watching them play and a SO just cuts right into it.

Congrats to your boys :) they came back from being down twice. I was sad to see my boys lose but the Americans played well. We'll return the favour in Buffalo ;)

I so want to go to the tourney next year, but holy crap on a cracker the prices are ridiculous! Hockey Canada said they would evaluate the prices from this year. A bronze package for Buffalo is well over $1000.

I haven't liked the shootout since Sweden won Olympic gold over Canada that way in the 90's.

I'd love to see the WJC live, even if it was to attend a game between Latvia and Slovakia. Ha ha! It will be interesting to see how many people attend the planned outdoor game between the US and Canada next year.

Woot! They usually don't do very well in this tournament, so gold is even more outstanding.
