I am a wee bit confused though. If Harry was in the dining room when he ordered Mehmet away, and Draco then came back to the dining room... where did a desk come in and how did they end up in the study?

You're very welcome! My apologies for the lateness. This arc requires a bit more concentration on my part, and I needed time to work on it. Also, this scene has been in the works almost from the beginning of this "second" series, and is a relief to finally get it out.
