I could use a stronger liquid than tea, but I nodded at our liaison and sat at the rickety table, across from Patrick. That would make it harder for Malfoy to avoid sitting next to me.
He sat down, his expression betraying no horrified dismay at our rustic location. "Give us the rundown on this alleged serial killer," he invited. "Our understanding is, the first victim was found in May?"
"Aye," Liam replied as he carried the kettle to the table. "There've been four more since then."
"And you're sure this is the work of the same killer?" I challenged.
