Summary: Draco finds the perfect toy...for the babies. Yes, the babies.
Draco's resolve wavered as soon as he reached the entrance to Weasleys Wizard Wheezes, and he balked in the doorway. Harry grabbed his arm and dragged him across the threshold.
"Harry!" greeted Weasley, George. "Malfoy," he added with a stiff nod.
"A customer should expect to be treated better than that," Draco grumbled.
"He said, egotistically," Harry jibed.
"I am not egotistical!"
Harry ignored Draco's protest and strode forward to speak to Weasley. "We're here to see what you have for baby toys."
"I have some fun plush toys," said Weasley. "There are unicorns, puffskeins, and even a dragon."
Draco perked up. "A dragon, you say?"
"I reckoned that would interest you, Malfoy," Weasley said in a more congenial tone. "First, let me show you my latest shirts for the fashionable pregnancy." He emerged from behind the counter and led the way across the shop. Weasley picked up a folded shirt, shook it out, and held it up.
Don't Eat Watermelon Seeds read the script on the front.
Harry had the gall to laugh. "I'll buy one for Malfoy," he said.
Draco gasped in affront. "I'm not wearing that!"
"Why not?" asked Harry. "It's not all pastel and feminine."
"If you find it so amusing, then you wear it," snapped Draco.
"You know, I think I will," said Harry. "I'll take it," he told Weasley.
"If you wear this in public, mate, they'll sell out in a day."
"Always happy to help, George."
"He said, egotistically," muttered Draco. If Harry heard, he gave no indication. He walked off after Weasley, and Draco trailed behind them.
"Here are the plush toys," said Weasley.
Draco saw the dragon immediately. It was so large a toddler could sit on it. His eyes widened in surprised delight.
"Good Godric, George," said Harry. "That dragon isn't a baby toy. It looks more appropriate for an older child, like Charlie."
As Harry and Weasley laughed like nutters, Draco shouldered past them and stroked one hand over the dragon's soft, green side. It had iridescent wings that sprouted from its shoulders, ridges on its back, and a forked tongue sticking out of its open maw.
"It's tremendous," breathed Draco. "I'll take it."
