Narcissa Malfoy's eyes narrowed and her nostrils flared. Harry's shoulders tightened in reaction. He turned his head and glared at the interloper.
"Skeeter," Harry growled in a parody of a greeting.
"Oh, don't mind me," simpered Rita Skeeter. "I'm just passing by. Toodles!" With a wave of her fingers and a satisfied smirk, she sashayed out of the Tulip Tearoom.
Harry turned back to Draco's mother. "My apologies, Mrs Malfoy," he muttered.
"It's not your fault the woman is a menace, Mr Potter," she said. "We can but hope that one of these days, that witch will get her comeuppance."
