Draco lifted one shoulder in a shrug. "I reckon the smart thing to do is let Potter have his way in this."
His mother's gaze sharpened on him. "Draco, you've gotten what you wanted; you secured your heir at the expense of your future happiness and Harry's too. The smart thing would be to reconcile with him."
"He hates me."
"He hates the position you've forced him into."
"It's too late now to annul our marriage," Draco muttered.
"That may be true," said Narcissa. "But it's not too late to create a better relationship for yourselves and your son."
