Summary: Harry hates getting dressed up, but Draco promises to make it better.
Harry frowned at himself in the mirror, tugging at the stiff collar of his dress robes. He hated boring Ministry functions, he hated being put on display as the Savior of the Wizarding World, but most of all, he hated wearing dress robes!
Draco walked up behind Harry and wrapped his arms about his lover's waist, resting his chin on Harry's shoulder and gazing at him in the mirror. "Why the scowl, love?" he asked.
Harry sighed irritably. "I hate these parties," he groused, still struggling with his collar.
"Allow me," Draco said gallantly, straightening Harry's collar in the back, which smoothed it into place all around.
"Thanks," Harry muttered. Leave it to Draco to fix it so effortlessly. To Draco, it was effortless. He was in his element at the sort of function they were attending tonight. He was charming and urbane, he could make witty conversation, he danced like a dream, he never drank too much, and he looked bloody fabulous in dress robes.
In the mirror, Harry saw Draco grin slyly before saying, "I know you don't like to attend Ministry sanctioned functions, Harry, but we'll put in an appearance, have a glass of champagne, allow the people to pay homage to you...and then we'll come home, and I will slowly strip you out of those dress robes, kiss and caress each part of your body as it is revealed, lay you down on our bed, and reward your suffering with incredible sex. What do you say to that?"
By this time, Harry was grinning, too, and he suddenly couldn't wait to get to the party so that they could get back home. Turning his head to kiss his lover, he said, "Thanks, Draco. You always know how to make me smile."
