July's prompt is too young (in keeping with the theme of my fic!). Use it however you wish, and feel free to write/draw any fandom, pairing, threesome, gen fic, etc. Combine it with other prompts, if you like.
Please post your entry in your own journal (unlocked!) or a community of your choice, and leave me a link in the comments below. You have until July 31 at 10:00pm CST to submit an entry. At that time, I'll post links to the entries and draw a name from among the participants to receive a drabble from me.
Below is my entry for this month:

Summary: Ah, the disadvantages of youth!
"You're too young to truly know your heart, Draco."
Draco stared at his mother in stunned silence. He had naively thought she would be happy for him and overjoyed that Harry had asked for his hand in marriage.
"You and Father were young when you married," Draco pointed out.
"That was different," Narcissa said, calmly stirring milk into her tea. "Ours was an arranged marriage."
"And yet, it's worked out for you," said Draco. "Harry and I love one another, and we will be getting married soon."

"Don't you think you're a bit young, Harry?"
Harry couldn't believe what Arthur had just said. "But, Ron and Hermione are already married, and we're the same age!"
"That's different," said Arthur, eyes on the Rubik's cube in his hands.
"How is it different?" Harry gritted out. Charlie was bent, and his parents didn't seem to have a problem with it.
"Ron and Hermione were in love all through Hogwarts," Arthur replied absently. "What does this thing do?"
Harry sighed. "It's a puzzle, and Draco and I have been attracted to one another all through Hogwarts, too."
"What was that, Harry?"
"We'll be sure to send you and Molly an invitation."

"Give you my blessing?!" Harry exclaimed. "You're too young to get married."
"Daddy!" cried Lily. "I'm twenty-four!"
"That's too young."
"You and Father were twenty when you got married."
"That was different!" Harry sputtered.
His daughter glared at him. "Different how?" she challenged.
Harry hung his head. "It's different, because you're my daughter, and I worry about you," he muttered.
Lily stepped close and hugged him. "I love you, too, Daddy," she said, kissing his cheek. Then, she stepped back and said firmly, "I am marrying Branden with or without your blessing."

"Stop fretting, love."
Harry glowered at his husband. "How can you be so calm about this?"
Draco laughed and tugged Harry down on the bed with him. "Because we raised a lovely, spirited daughter who knows her own mind," he replied. "Aside from that, Branden worships the ground she walks on and the broom she flies on."
Harry chuckled weakly. "Yeah, I reckon she couldn't have found a better boy, no matter how long she waited."
"They're older than we were when we got married," Draco added, skating his fingers down Harry's naked chest. "It's worked out for us, wouldn't you agree?" he asked, giving Harry a squeeze through his pyjama bottoms.
"Mm, yeah..."

"Minister, if I may have a word?"
"There's no need to be so formal, Harry," boomed Kingsley, clapping Harry on the back. "What did you wish to discuss, my boy?"
Harry's palms were damp with nervous sweat, but he had vowed to see this through. "I wish to inform you that I plan to retire. I'm giving you formal notice."
Kingsley dropped into his chair, his expression slightly stunned. "May I ask why you wish to retire now?"
Harry ran a hand through his silver-streaked hair. "My grandson is getting married next month, and I want to spend more time with my family."
"We can adjust your schedule," Kingsley offered. "I'd hate to lose one of my best Aurors. Besides, don't you think you're too young to retire?"
"Too young?!"
