Summary: Susan watches from the sidelines. Sequel to last week's Throwing Out Party.
Susan Bones was standing on the sidelines, trying to keep track of who was pairing off with whom. Ginny Weasley was dancing with the Parkinson girl, Neville Longbottom had disappeared with Nott, and Harry Potter, in whose honor the party was being held, had yet to put in an appearance. Susan had overheard some of the other students remarking on that and speculating about Malfoy's whereabouts. Wouldn't it be amusing if the two of them were paired off somewhere else in the castle?
"Hello, Susan," greeted Hannah. She approached with two glasses of pumpkin juice and offered one to Susan. "I love your dress," said Hannah. "The sunflowers suit you."
Susan thanked her friend, for both the compliment and the refreshment. "Can you believe some of the pairings out on the dance floor?" Susan asked with a giggle.
"It is a coming out party," Hannah mused, taking sip of her pumpkin juice. "It would be more surprising if boys were paired up with girls."
"I didn't realize that everyone would take the theme in such a literal sense," said Susan. "I thought we were here to celebrate as a means to show support for our friends who are gay. Instead, it appears that everybody is using the party as an excuse to experiment."
"I suppose if you were ever the least bit curious, this would be the perfect opportunity to get some hands-on experience." Hannah grinned after making that cheeky observation.
Susan giggled again at the pun. "I see some hands out there getting more experience than others."
"Who would you like to get your hands on?" asked Hannah.
"Do you mean a girl or can it be anyone?"
"It has to be a girl," said Hannah. "This is a coming out party, after all."
Susan's gaze drifted over the dance floor as she considered her answer. "Hermione Granger," she said, even though the Gryffindor girl was nowhere to be seen. "I've always admired her."
"That's the safe answer," chided Hannah. "Be bold!"
"Pansy Parkinson," blurted Susan, face heating. "She has magnificent tits."
Hannah laughed and grabbed Susan's hand. "Come on," she urged. "Let's join the party."
