Albus was still disturbed by his nightmare the following morning, rendering him more subdued than usual. However, he didn't fail to notice that Scorpius was also quiet and withdrawn.
"Are we making a mistake?" Al blurted on their way to the Great Hall.
Scorpius drew his boyfriend into a secluded alcove. "Merlin, no," he said. "Why do you ask?"
"I don't think our families are happy for us."
"We have to live our own lives," Scorpius said fiercely.
Albus nodded in relief. "You're right," he said. "And, if I had a chance to start over, I wouldn't change a thing."
