[The energy that was rolling off Koi was even affecting Genius, although the poor normal human wasn't aware of it. It was like a gentle wave of calm, which combined with the touch on Genius' shoulder helped the spastic young man to relax. Because shinigami simply didn't exist in Genius' world, he had no idea that there was anything strange coming from Simon and Qi's "dad". He did however take an immediate liking to the man.

This was someone who could take charge. This was someone Simon trusted with his life. Pings pings and more pings for Genius. He wordlessly followed after Koi but hesitated at the doorway, unsure of what to say now that the authority of the family was here.

What were they going to do now? What were they going to do with the knowledge that had gotten Simon killed?]

Only the moon...nothing and no one else. [ She was pretty sure of it, anyway. It wasn't as though she could control her mind's pinwheeling between her feelings and everyone else's, the sudden and immediate lack that occurred when her brother was attacked and then died.

It happened too fast and she wouldn't have been able to do anything about it anyway but she still felt useless in a way. Now everyone was worried about her and it made her want to withdraw and hide from the entire Sphere. ]

[Koi listened to Qí's words and shook his head softly, reaching up to carefully brush her hair behind one ear. She was so sweet, this girl, but she had always seemed lost. All he could hope was that now, with the ground torn asunder under her, he could at least give her something to hold on to.]

The moon is never alone, Qí.

[He looked at Genius and waved him over as well, feeling the boy shouldn't just stand there like a lost puppy. Lost souls belonged together, and Genius seemed almost as shellshocked as Qí.]

I will not lie and promise that he will be back. But for his sake, we have to try and breathe, to live one heartbeat at the time. It is okay to grieve, to be angry and to cry. It might not change anything, but it relieves the pressure inside.

[Genius edged closer at their insistence even though his unease and shock were still clearly visible on his face]

[ She smiled at Koi when he touched her hair. She understood what he was getting at but they both misunderstood her statement; no one else was physically hurt when Simon died, but she knew she wasn't entirely alone.

If she'd felt that way, she wouldn't have come here.

Qĭ gave Koi a hug, her silent thanks before standing up and giving Genius a hug as well. ]

Doof. [ Comforting hippie stuff, whatever. ] I want to stay here. [ For now, until Simon returned or it was clear that he wouldn't. Too many things in the Section 3 house were his for the girl to be able to stand at the moment. ]

[He hugged her back, gently but with an authoritative comfort. Then he watched her as she stood up and hugged Genius as well, listening calmly as she said that she wanted to stay here with him. It was understandable, not wanting to be in the house they shared with Simon.

He would have to find Fracta and see what she wanted to do as well.]

Is it okay if she stays here, Genius? I'll come by to check on her, and bring you both dinner.

[Oh no hugs. He was kinda bad at them. They made him feel awkward and pretty girls gave him clammy hands...not that it really applied HERE because well it was Qi and she was upset. But still, he felt like he was all elbows and sharp points as he tried to be comforting.]

[He looked at her sad form and ended up folding like a cheap suit]

Yeah ok. Wait. Is she safe here? Are they--we--

[He didn't want to finish that comment but the concern and paranoia were obvious. Was the Tree done or did it want Simon's sister as well? Was she any safer here with Derrick as a Greeter?]

[ Yeah, well, she didn't terribly mind all of Genius' sharp corners and pokey elbows. They needed hugs, they got hugs, end of story. ]

Stay. [ She isn't willing to put a time frame on it - tomorrow she might be okay going back to Section 3 but the likelihood is that she won't. None of them are really prepared to address that at the moment. ]
