This is another short story of mine; it was written a while back for a prompted contest on DeviantArt, but I wanted to post it here in case people had any suggestions or comments for it, because something bugs me about it and I can't quite figure out what it is.  (The fae's name might have something to do with it.  I'd named him on the fly.)  Or

It's a good short piece, but it feels like there is a lot of backstory that we're missing. How did our narrator first meet Archie, for example? I'm left wanting to know more, and wondering if the left-behind reed pipes signifies yet another meeting between these two.
