Sorry about your thunderstorm phobia. I've known a few with that one and can sense that it's a toughie.
I, on the other hand, love them! The bigger, the better. Even as a small child, when staying with my paternal grandmother out in the country. When a big storm would come up we would head out onto the porch to watch the streaks of lightening and listen to the booms of thunder. (think of it as po'boy fireworks;-)

I noticed that a lot of folks at the Frolicon forum mentioned lj and so I checked it out. When I did a search for intrests under "frolicon", yours was one of the sites that was listed.
(Did ya ever try to type with a kitten sitting on your shoulder playing with your ponytail :-)
I actualy wish that it would rain a little here, now. It's starting to get brown and dusty while raining a few miles down the road. (now it'll rain on the 4th during the cookout)
Hope everthing is working out on the job front/hunt.
