I'd say, if you're not feeling a "click" or a "connection" to him, there's no sense in trying to push it. Whether you continue to communicate with him is up to you, but don't feel obligated to continue, if it's not working for you.

Do you not feel romantical at all? Then maybe let him know that you like him but not like that? But if you aren;t sure, then just give it more time. Spend some time together. Don't worry about where it's going so much as enjoy the meandering path a bit :-)

If you aren't feeling it, it isn't going anywhere. On the other hand, you don't have to marry the guy today. If you enjoy the companionship, hang out with him. And there is nothing (NOTHING) wrong with needing a little space. Anyone worth it will understand that.

You have to get your head out of fanfic romance, it doesn't happen that way in real life.

Go on a date, that is how you decided if there is a real attraction, talking to someone is nice and you can really like them on the phone or internet but you don't really know until there is physical contact in real life.

I knew the second I saw Stacy in person that she was the one and I was right. We hit it off and meeting her in real life was the thing that made it true.

So my advice is to go on a real date in a real place and get to know each other in person. it's the only way to really know.

LOL belive me I know

I've hung out with him once, and he kinda ditched me the second time (had an excuse, but still)

I just...I wish there was a way to tell.

Have y'all just been talking or have y'all gone out on a date/hung out together? If you have only been talking to him, maybe give him a chance to see if there is more. If y'all have gone out and the chemistry isn't there, then there is no reason to try to force it.
