Could you explain the problem with recognising a program in more depth? I might be able to explain. I can see a few things you could be thinking about there.

I can't get how the hardware responds to software, really. Once you've got a program recognition system going, I can understand how you can put operating systems and things on it, but I can't understand how the software is able to be read by the hardware.
