This has got to be one of the funniest things I've read in a long time. This is a supposedly true story from the Word Perfect Helpline, which was transcribed from a recording monitoring the customer care department.   (This must be why they record these conversations!):

Operator:         ‘Ridge Hall, computer assistance; may I help you?’

Hey Empyre! Makes no sense that I would read someone's blog and not comment until I learned their identity. (And yes, "they" is valid as a gender neutral singular pronoun. And I use it only to disguise your identity, of course.) Ah, well, I suppose it's an odd bent of the human psyche. Your blog is challenging. Thanks for writing! I look forward to reading more.
