[As soon as Martha heard Snape's voice, she was down the hallway like a shot, and knocking on his door. She didn't think that'd he'd ever actually come back, really. She was literally overjoyed to have him back.]

[Snape turned off the communicator and turned to the door, mentally reviewing the list of inmates who might have wanted to do him harm versus wardens who would want to lecture or welcome him.

He stood and crossed to the door, wand out for good measure.]

[When he opened the door with his wand out, Martha grinned quickly at him, and then she carefully threw her arms around him in a tight hug before she could stop herself.]

He endured the hug stiffly, but didn't pull away. He thought he ought to say something, but he wasn't sure what; however, apologizing for leaving without warning seemed like a good start.]
