I'm...really not bothered with the idea of being around him. And I don't think he can hurt you -- I could be wrong about that, but he strikes me more as the sort who can only do damage if you're not very thick skinned.
I'll admit that I was among the first to check for my Inmate when he first arrived, but if people continue to panic at his presence it's not going to get him to stop thinking that people will want to hurt him, is it?
I don't know what he's capable of - hence this meeting. Some inmates have had all weapons removed from their rooms, some have improvised, and some have been allowed to keep dangerous items. Swing is a good example. I am a good example.
I wish to allay my own concerns first (and those of the others aboard), and then his. I have no illusions of an immediate, trusting relationship.
I should warn you that he has intimated to me that he has a defensive measure, in the event that you lot are dishonorable. While I have no doubts about your respective characters, I don't know the full range of his moral spectrum. The smallest insult may be perceived as dishonorable.
