[There is a new rice cooker in the apartment. The previous (ancient) one had met it's demise in a fizzle of sparks from the cord and much swearing, and had summarily been replaced. The new one is very white, very shiny, and has roughly three times the buttons on it that the old one had

[Souji has been watching this whole thing from the couch, finding no end of amusement in the unhappy faces Hijikata had been making at the thing. Clearly, he had no idea how to use it, and he wasn't going to admit it.]

We should just order something.

[Hijikata glances over his shoulder into the main room and... tries not to glare too much]

I already bought groceries. It won't take too long.

[Yeah, he didn't actually believe that at all.]

But it would be faster.

[He grumbles and tries to sneak a glance at the manual while also trying to hide it. HE IS TOTALLY GOOD WITH TECHNOLOGY OKAY]
