Yuuuuuuuup. That would be my cousin's school district. They're all older now but holy crap. I can tell you all the lawyers in my office are buzzing about it.

Absolutely repugnant. I already disagree with schools disciplining students for MySpace/Facebook antics, because it is none of their goddamn business what those kids get up to if it's not tracked back to school property. Throw violation of privacy into the mix and...yeeesh. I know it's not likely to happen, but I still hope they all get brought up on charges and sacked.

100% agreed. I actually read the court document and forwarded to my father (who is also an attorney). I can't wait to hear what he has to say about it tonight. They're definitely being sued; Class Action but I am very curious to see how this comes out because it really is a horrible breach of ethics.

I cannot imagine the circumstances under which anyone would think this a good idea. It's just a "I wonder what uranium tastes like" grade of stupid. They're under investigation by the FBI currently, thank goodness.
