❷ the type: generally speaking, Rob is pretty straight. he doesn't have a specific type, but he does like lighter hair colours and lively, easy-going personalities.
❸ the past: ERM lmfao he has only ever to date been with two people, and much to his endless embarrassment one person was called Julia (affectionately referred to as "Jules"), and the other was - or is, rather - called Julian. Jules was Rob's first and final girlfriend, a lovely and rather boisterous young lady who seemed to be quite the opposite to rational, reasonable Rob, but whom he loved nonetheless. They were together for two years, before Rob accidentally broke her arm when his powers emerged. Though Julia forgave him practically without question, Rob ended their relationship through fear that he might one day do something worse, and after that he didn't so much as think about anyone else sexually or romantically for ten years after that. And to be honest, he doesn't think of Julian in a sexual way either, firstly because it'd be impossible anyway

❷ the type: It's hard to define his type... but someone who doesn't depend on him and gives him proper attention. Someone he can depend on and who will let him have privacy when he wants it.
❸ the past: Eddie Gavell was pretty much the beginning and the end. Almost twenty years ago Jack was still living in a refuge camp when Eddie was rescued by a few of Jack's comrades and allowed to stay with them until he recovered. Friendship desu, the two formed a sort of mentor-ship, Eddie invited Jack to keep traveling with him and it eventually progressed into something else. Their relationship was more of a... natural progression and 'this must be what I'm supposed to do now' alongside the fascination that someone so different like Eddie instilled in him (despite being, in fact, three years younger than Jack). And then Eddie heard a monster's voice, went mad and tried to kill Jack. Nothing but romance in this one's life.
