So there's been all this negativity enveloping my favorite fandom lately. Which really, really sucks. Because all the people I've met have been totally awesome and I've met some of my favorite people through the VM fandom

I totally don't think you broke it. Actually, I think it's turning out to be a good thing....The backlash from the Anonymous meme has created a space for people to gush and really love the show and the actors and the characters and the fandom. In the end, I think it's gonna make the fandom stronger. At least that's what I hope. That's what happened to me.
It was a wild thing to do, that meme, but I harbor no ill will (duh, you're still on my Flist) towards you at all. I like being on your Flist and will continue to enjoy it indefinitely. :D
Aww, well it's gone now. It wasn't really so great. It was just a lot of bitching about VM anonymously, which was cool, but then it devolved into horridness...the attacks became really personal, about people's writing, or worse, their appearance. It was horrible. It started off fun and not evil, but that didn't last. *sigh* here's where it was, and what's there now: http://missambs.livejournal.com/407327.html
Yeah, that's why I have so much love for the positive meme. I enjoy ranting about the stuff in the VM fandom that drives me crazy, but it just got so mean and out of hand, which sucked.
I'm glad you had so much fun in Austin! You totally deserved to have an awesome time! :D I can't wait to hear more Austin stories. :D
So, I went and checked out your bio. And I had to friend you back! We have a bit in common. (Not the Buffy and VM love, but that too!) I was an History/International Studies double major in college (though I haven't finished school yet, I can't afford it).
I love your favorite book AND your favorite band (no one writes songs that make me so happy like Weezer). And while my favorite Shakespeare play is "Much Ado About Nothing", I do LOVE "10 Things I Hate About You" (that counts some, right?).
My favorite country is totally Spain, but they're right next door to each other, so that works for me. :D
And then, best of all, you used the phrase "living in sin". I love that phrase.
