"Go," says the Huntsman, dropping the dagger meant for her heart to the ground. "Run."
Snow White runs.

She doesn't know how long she runs, either in time or in distance. She runs until her lungs are aching and her feet are bloody tatters, and still she keeps running. The forest grows dark all around her, but she doesn't dare stop, not even to catch her breath. If she stops, the Queen's forces might find her, because they are surely looking for her already. If she stops, the running might have all been for naught. She remembers the Hunstmans face, and pushes herself further. His act of mercy has almost certainly marked him for death at her step-mother's hands, and Snow White will not let his sacrifice be in vain.
Eventually, though, not even sheer force of will can keep her on her feet any longer and she collapses to the ground, more tired than she's ever been before in her life. She falls asleep where she sits, her cheek pressed against a mossy tree trunk. She gives no thought to pain or discomfort, because those words are meaningless to her now.
All that matters is survival.
When she wakes, it is light once more and she gives thank for the dawn of a new day. From now on, she vows, a new day will not be something she takes for granted. Every new day means that she is still alive and that she still has the chance to reclaim what is rightfully hers. Every new day brings a fresh chance for revenge, and that too, Snow White vows she will have.
She stands. Her feet are still sore and bloody, and she knows that taking so much as a single step will surely cause her unspeakable agony.
She puts one foot in front of the other, and that step is her destiny.
