By Sunday night, Lydia actually feels like she's got some control of her brain again. She manages to spend some time with Stiles that doesn't include ripping each other's clothes off (okay, so, the ripping was mostly Lydia, but he'd snuck away to eat while she was asleep and when she woke up from that dream he was dressed and taking way too long to ( Read more... )

Lydia's a little more clear-headed after the couple of days Stiles has spent with her, mainly in bed, though what happened after he took a quick foray to pick up some food was certainly interesting. And destructive, towards his clothing. How Lydia even managed to rip his hoodie, he doesn't know, but it was kind of awesomeHis dad doesn't seem suspicious of anything and Stiles drives to school in particularly high spirits. Frankly, a few days ago after Gerard's attack, he'd thought his life couldn't get any worse. But then, they always said it had to get worse before it got better, right ( ... )

Lydia's is probably dulled because she's not a full wolf. Stiles wasn't even going to think about Scott and Allison's love life - he didn't know if Lydia got it in detail like he did - but the two of them fucked like rabbits normally.

"It's fine." Stiles smiles, covering her hand with his, leaning into the touch. "I'd take it, for you."

Lydia doesn't really get details, but Allison gets all dreamy and blushy whenever the subject comes up, so she's well aware that their sex life is very...active. Which, yeah, great, but she could really use a hand from the two of them right now.

"You shouldn't have to, though. And besides, I have enough trouble keeping the wounds you've got from getting infected, no need adding more." Lydia teases, leaning in to kiss him gently. When she pulls back, she nods to his bagel.

"You should eat." The very least she can do is feed him before he likely gets beaten up. Maybe Issac would keep an eye out for Stiles...

Stiles chuckles and kisses her back, letting his eyes close. This wasn't how he'd expected his weekend to go, but he was damn well glad it had.

"Thank you, by the way," Stiles bites into the bagel obediently, scooting a little closer. "It's delicious."

Whether the wolf was at school or not was another question. Stiles had a sinking feeling he wasn't. Maybe if he stuck by Danny's side with a bullshit excuse about lab homework the guy would agree to act as a mediator.

He scoots closer, and Lydia drapes her legs over his lap, smiling. "Don't mention it. You're always doing little things for me, I thought it was only fair I start to return the favor. Even if I did have to guess."

Danny! The only thing about asking him to step in was that he was Jackson's best friend. He had a low tolerance for his bullshit though, so maybe if she asks nicely, he'll be of some use. Keeping him from breaking Stiles' arm in practice and crying accident was a totally different matter entirely though. "Do you have practice today?"

"I like doing those things for you," Stiles reaches over, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. "They make you smile, at least for a minute."

"Uh, yeah I think so," He could blow it off, but he probably shouldn't If both Isaac and Scott were missing, his absence - while not entirely unwarranted as he never played - would be the Kingpin to rouse suspicion.

Lydia giggles a little, leaning over to kiss him again, just briefly. "My point still stands. Now I get to do them for you too." But to be entirely honest, she's doing pretty good on the smile front right now. With or without random breakfast. She was serious about him being in charge of it tomorrow though.

"I'll wait for you." When she and Jackson first started dating, she used to do it all the time and it was infinitely boring. But dutiful girlfriend and all that bullshit. Now, with Stiles, she can study or read and not worry about getting a weird look or a question about it. And if she's there to moderate, Jackson's less likely to hurt him as badly as he might without her there. She hopes.

"If you want to," Stiles hums happily against Lydia's lips, feeling warmth spread through his chest. God, he was so in love with her it wasn't even funny. He'd definitely be bringing something awesome for her tomorrow.

"You don't have to. I can...deal with it." Not that the idea didn't kind of scare the shit out of him. Angry Jackson Whittemore was one thing, but killer werewolf was another. Maybe he could get some wolfsbane or something...

"Of course I do. What, you're the only one allowed to like making people," And not just people really. One person. But you know what she means. "Smile? I like your smile. It's all cute and goofy."

"I want to. I'm just going to go home and study anyway. I can study while I wait for you." Tada. Easy solution. "And then we can go talk to Derek and see if he can call Jackson off or something..." Or not, because everyone's in heat. Crap. This is starting to get really fucking inconvenient, only being like half-werewolf.

"You do?" The words are out before he can stop them and he blushes, taking another bite out of the bagel to distract himself. "...Thanks."

"Alright. If you're sure." Stiles makes a face at the mention of Derek, however. "Not risking that mental scarring if he's not done with Boyd yet. There are just some things no one is meant to see."

"Yes?" Is it really that hard to believe? Okay, so this whole thing with them is really new, but it's the happiest she's been in a long time. Why wouldn't she like making him happy just as much as he does her? He blushes and she smirks a little, taking a bite of her own bagel. "Mhm."

"I am." She doesn't know what she can do if Jackson does go crazy, but she wants to at least be there to try and help. Her laugh covers up the faint shudder that rolls up her spine at the image and she shakes her head. "Oh God, are you serious? Why did you even have to say that?"

Maybe because this is still so incredible, almost too much so to believe...

"Because it's a thing that happened." He's still trying to process it and so hopes he never does. "It's a thing that happened, holy shit!"

And then he's laughing again, shaking his head at how ridiculous their lives have gotten.

Lydia doesn't remember it happening. At all. She was much too busy trying to get Stiles to take his pants off, so she's just taking his word for it in this situation despite how little she wants to.

"Stop! Oh my God, stop, stop!" She can't decide if she wants to laugh or shove a bobby pin into her eyes or go back to eating and pretend this never even transpired between them.

So she settles for sealing her hand over Stiles' mouth instead. "Hush."

Stiles' next words are muffled by Lydia's hand, and he practically collapses into giggles, only half-heartedly trying to actually escape. His entire body shakes with the laughter, too happy to care when a few people stare at them.

"Well this is new." "Scott."

Lydia's just about to pull her hand away, leaning in to kiss him as an apology when she hears Scott and Allison approach and speak. Great, they're here, but they seem just as shocked by this new development as all of the other uninvolved passers by.

"Good morning to you too, Scott." This is Lydia not appreciating your comments.

Stiles glances up at Scott with a look; which the wolf seems to understand. But he's electing to ignore it, as best friends do. Naturally.

"Yeah, it is." Stiles mumbles quietly, biting his lip and shooting Lydia a questioning look before biting into the pastry again. He doesn't know if she's going to want this...whatever it was between them, public.
