Not that Star Trek isn't full of gigantic inconsistencies, but in one episode they said Data was incapable of crying. But I just noted upon rewatching Generations they had him cry ( Read more... )

You're not a bad role player at all. =)

The village could have messed with Seth's mind and tilted his world on its axis for being in a pocket universe/dimension. Also, wasn't it right after Buffy disappeared when he saw Michael? (runs and hides as a reminder of Buffy)
So that would have thrown him off his usual game, as well probably. All of which could be reasons why he reacted the way he did to look alike Michael. *g*

As for Data, you can always blame anything on his emotion chip or malfunction thereof. *g*

I kick myself pretty hard for it when I do screw up. But yeah, I got myself confused.

I also forgot about the whole Buddhists not killing things and had the Monkey King kill a fish. But he's also pre-Journey to the West and post stone, so he still has a lot of the meanness.

I forget things Faramir tells me all the time. That's when I feel worst. I stare at the screen going "drrrrrrrr, what?" But I'm on medication that actually does harm my memory pretty badly. I've recently started taking large doses of Ibuprofen to counter it, and it does help a little so hopefully I won't make quite so many future stupids.

Everyone knows I'm super anal. *adjusts crown* Most of that desire to make lists and put stuff in order is because my memory sucks. I forget what some people have said and when the comments are like 100+ I really don't want to scroll through them to find the one bit of information. I have so many worksheets on the Friending Excel file it's not even funny. *g*

I've thought about doing like Faramir's mun does with a synopsis but frankly I'm way too lazy for that. I'd start well but then fade to not doing it.

I started keeping this to keep some of my stuff straight. It's been helping a little bit.

I think you've got Data down perfectly! Everyone makes mistakes - and anyway most canons are full of inconsistencies and gaps. I'm making up most of Avon's pre-canon experiences as I go along :D

Oh man, so many inconsistencies in Star Trek canons. But with so many shows/information things would inevitably be forgotten.

I only saw Generations twice because it was just generally a bad movie, and I forgot about the crying.

I think every long running canon has those sorts of inconsistencies. For Snake the US Police Force has two creation dates. **Head desk**
