Thank you so much, I will have more bass licks later on this week on my soundcloud that I'll be posting up.
I'm going to focus on learning chords and combining that with my knowledge of scales before I find a means of recording some cleaner lines.
After I find a way to record some clean lines I plan on making various styles of electronic music to slap bass lines on top of similar to Squarepusher.
If you don't know who Squarepusher is then perhaps you could check this out. It's a long song though.
Good to hear some zelda in there-_- So tell me about this: you're recording straight into your computer mic input, no effects (or maybe a little bit of overdrive on your first clip), yeah? There's quite a bit of noise in there, not quite sure where that's coming from though. What sort of levels were you recording at? I Wonder whether that noise may have been from boosting a low signal strength?
Honestly I think the amp I have is just super fuzzy and makes too much noise. Yes though that is what I'm doing, I'm connecting my guitar though and amp and then into a computer. I think If I buy a new amp it might clean up the quality of the sound but I'm not sure.
Hmm, could you post a recording just running direct from your bass into your pooter? Maybe that's the problem? I don't think an amp is where you should be putting your money. I'd be going more for some sort of audio interface to get the clean signal into your pooter. If you're planning on using a mic'd signal in your recordings, then yeah sure.
I just finished directly connecting my bass into my computer and played a short lick. It sounds loads cleaner than going through the amp, thank you so much for the suggestion man!
