[Toni had checked the mail much earlier in the day, but what she received paralyzed her. She spent the afternoon dialing his number over and over again, only to hang up before the first ring. Did he remember her, or had he forgotten like she did. She hoped he didn't remember, it would be easier for both of them. She had to know, though. She had to be sure.

And thus she was in the park, watching him from a distance, too anxious to approach. She wanted to see him again, to hear his voice and feel his skin, but again and again, she hesitated.]

[Oh he DID remember... which is why he carried such a worried look. What if she didn't remember... and he looked the fool? So there he sat... a pleasant bouquet of roses in hand with no one to give them to if she didn't remember.]

[It wasn't like her to shy away, and she wasn't going to learn anything by just staring. Best to get it over with. She took a deep breath.]

[Here he was, about to call himself foolish for even thinking about if she remembered him and... oh look, there she is! He quickly stood and faced her, trying his best not to look foolish.]

Toni!... It's... it's been ages, but I got you uhm...

[He offered the flowers.]

[Lark looks surprised to see the man in the flower shop, though it was probably equally curious why she was there.]

What are you looking at? [She tried to peer at the different flowers he was stuck on, having recently learned the scientific names of many.]

[He wasn't exactly expecting anyone to recognize him and was thus shocked when he heard Lark say his name. He flinched and then looked in her direction.]

Ah? H-hey!... Fancy seeing you here. Uh... looking?... I'm... just looking at these here flowers...that's all. I mean...

[He trailed off and glanced at the floor before turning back to them.]

[A slight smile forms on her lips.] Not embarrassed to be seen here, are we?

Don't worry, I'm just going to assume you're here out of botanical curiosity. It's my reason for being here, anyway.
