We ended up seeing Order of the Phoenix on Thursday night instead of Friday night. Let me just say this: I really loved it, but there were about 3 or 4 scenes that I was very upset about because they were shortened, cut out or changed completely. I usually have that same complaint about all the HP movies, but I felt especially upset about it for ( Read more... )

It's interesting to hear your thoughts on HP. I've never read the books (I want to get around to it at some point) but in seeing the movie and in listening to my husband and my friend talk about it- I think a lot of HP fans agree with you. I loved Luna! I thought she was whimsical and dreamy and I keep bothering Ed to find out if she and Harry hook up in the next book. He won't tell me, as to not ruin the surprise! :)

Oh, you really ought to read the books sometime! If you like the movies, you'll probably like the books even more!

And I'm glad that you DID like the film. Did it confuse you at all? Because I got the impression when I went to see it that if you hadn't read the book, it would be really confusing because the plot is so complex and there was so much they didn't explain fully.

There were times I did get a little lost... but luckily Ed was there to whisper me along and explain what was going on. If he wasn't there- I would have been a bit confused. :)

I agree about Zwan it is very eh *shrugs*. I've been getting the same way just wanting to cry for no reason but for me it's for sure hormonal. Parts of being a girl are so stupid. ***BIG HUGE HUGS***

So I just read the harry part cause I just saw it the other day. Ok so I agree about Luna times 10 she was the shit. I actually thought that his death was done WAY better then it was in the book. Granted when I read it in the book I had this image of him just tripping through some window curtains, so most anything for me was an improvement. I have to say being as it's my least fav book I enjoyed that they skipped most of the whinny angsty Harry.

Yeah, OOTP isn't exactly my favorite book either -- it was so long and seemed to drag at points, so I was very happy to see the story edited for the movie.

And I have to disagree with you about the death...if only because I still think that they didn't talk about it enough at the end. :( *sniff* RIP, Sirius. We hate that you were killed by drapery.

Yeah I do admit that it wasn't addressed very well and if you hadn't read the book then you might not even know that he had died. :*( Pepper Padfoot
