Sorry I haven't updated since I went to Washington DC for a few days. I'm really, really glad I went; it was awesome to see Tierney and everyone else again. Yeah, everyone says that the Austin music scene is great! That would be reason enough for me to visit. XD And the Kids In The Hall played there recently too...I'm sad that my cousin could have gone and didn't, whereas if I lived in Austin I would have bought tickets to that event the day they went on sale.

Apparently TX is the place to be these days...who knew?

And Sunflower's isn't a chain, just an independently-owned restaurant in my town. I think I actually hate working for independent businesses more, because the owners expect you to be as enthusiastic and obsessed with working for their business as they are...

The job market is so depressing and frustrating right now it's not funny. Teaching is supposed to be recession proof but I'm finding that not so. The two closest school districts are experiencing budget cuts and might not have many new positions this coming school year. *le sigh* Best of luck with your search!

It really is terrible that you're having a hard time finding teaching jobs. I, too, always thought that teachers would always be needed no matter what the state of the economy was, but I guess not! Best of luck to you with your job search too!
