I'm proud that some of the people of Chad have decided to start with a clean slate in the next election. I can only hope that they get their message out unedited by the government.

on the subject of renaming pet pages....well, i haven't been to the wiki in a while, but one of the first pet pages ever created there was the one i made for bill the bunny. funny thing is, bill has always been 'bill the bunny' to me, long before the wiki was around, so i only found it natural to label his page as such. however, after more pets started getting added, i noticed it was somewhat of a trend to start calling pets '_____ the cat' or whatever, and i found it rather silly. i really think that the label should only be used if the pet, in fact, goes by the entire name, and for bill the bunny, it's just always been natural.

I always wondered if a student government had the power to declare war. Kind of makes me wish I'd gotten more involved freshman year. I'm sure it wouldn't have worked, but it would have been fun trying, anyway.

I'm not sure about the declaration of war, but for some reason, the ASUCD President is entitled to make treaties under the ASUCD Constitution. I have no idea how he would use this power, however.

By jingo, we should use that power by having a few wars first.

Treaties, eh? What's the legal definition of that? Could you form some sort of pact with Venezuela, for instance?
