After my one class today 10-11 and some meetings, I hung out with Roxie and watched this band she'd brought, The Groovie Ghoulies. They were a psychobilly band, which is the awesome, but I was really impressed by their ability to randomly do songs in completely other genres and do them well ( Read more... )

It's interesting phrasing they used to fire him. They "chose to release him from his position..."

Makes it sound like a double-fisted back-barrel-choke hold with fries. He should be happy and breathing a sigh of relief.

yeah. I think I'm going to have to sacrifice a court member soon. To make things less contentious I'm trying to think of euphenisms to make it sound like its actually a priviledge to come before a senate hearing for their lack of attendance.. like "you've been chosen to represent the Court before the Senate on a hearing regarding attendance!"

"your attendance is exemplory in that all those wishing a personal senate hearing should follow in your steps. We know that this experience will help guide you in your future career as an ex-court member. Congratulations."

So, can I get a shadiness poll for Senate? Thomas Lloyd suggested that Senate amend a bill to remove the authors and appoint new authors. This is because the authors (Fung and Van Schoelandt) said that they would withdraw the bill if Lloyd's proposed change was made.

yeah a shadiness poll is long overdue.

that would pose a very interesting question if he were to do that.

how was the rest of the senate meeting after I left?
