He honestly frustrates me sometimes. I mean I like Will because he /tries/ to help the students but at the same time he needs to get out of his bubble. Then again he is flawed and doesnt have all the right answers and forgets what its like to be that age and from experience I know that adults often have a hard time handling situations when it involves teens/kids so I try to look past that.

I feel sorry for Kurt regardless though :(

He frustrates me so much. Sometimes I want to headslap him and tell him to pull his head from his bum and actually put his good intentions to work (because I agree -- he does have them).

I really liked this - especially Finn's scene with Kurt in the hallway. Kurt is having such a hard time and to have Finn's immediate acceptance that Kurt needs to leave is great. Blaine was a rock and his family is awesome.

Even getting to see inside Schue's head still can't make me not want to bean him. How hard would it be to really *look* and see that there's something else going on here? I get that Kurt didn't tell him and as soon as Schue knew what the underlying issue was on the room he allowed Kurt to switch, but Schue could tell something was off with Kurt before the Andersons came and rescued him. He could have waited Kurt out to see what the real issue was.

All of this is a long winded way of saying I really liked the story. Thanks for sharing!

Having been a teacher, I do get Will's reaction- you DO not let your kids run off with strange men. I had a couple of teenage girls try to do that at a field trip, um- with some incredibly shady men. I'm sorry, I do get that he had to listen, but at the same time you just don't let your kids stay with strangers without getting a parent's permission. This COULD get him fired, and Kurt has no right to DEMAND that Will risk losing his job.

I don't hate Will as much as others do. I disagree hugely with a lot of what he does, but his heart tends to be in the right place. And he cares- it's too hard to find that sometimes. And so I think this was in character for him- he's making a mistake, but not from a bad place.

Oh, Mr. Schue... He cares, but rarely seems to be anywhere near proactive enough. Or pay enough attention to his students, regarding non-musical matters. Or really very much at all... Yeah, I think he's a nice enough guy, but I'd kinda hate to be one of his students. Then again, who hasn't known a teacher like that (who seems to play favourites a bit, seems to care about students but doesn't really act on it, turns a blind eye, intentionally or not, to anything that isn't their subject)? To modify a quote from Wanda Maximoff, "be yourself (or a character in a story that isn't tragedy) and the Mr. Schues of the world can't touch you (or will come around due to the laws of okayish endings)." Though I do agree with his logic, you shouldn't let someone you're supposed to be watching/protecting go off with people who are presumably strangers in the middle of the night (or even day).
I really liked the story, it was enjoyable to read. Thanks so much for writing it and posting so that other fans can read it!
