Caliban isn't whole yet by any stretch of the imagination. But the bags under his eyes are a little less, and while there's still a haunted look in his eyes when they're open, which they aren't right now, Sophia curled up on his bare chest where he's on his back on his bed. He might be dead for all he moves except for the rise and fall of his chest

Molly's finally got her courage up to come looking for him. She's still not entirely sure what happened, but she's not seen him since, and now she's beginning to worry.

Then again, she's still convinced whoever hurt her wasn't Cal. And technically, she's not entirely mistaken.

She knocks.

"So twas another creature, in your head?"

[emocaliban]

"He - becomes me. He's me, and I'm him and oh God-" He makes a little noise.

"Cal - " She falters.

[emocaliban]

He finds the courage to look at her.

"If you don't want to - if you'd rather - if you want to stay away from me now, I understand."

[youngandhealthy]

"Twasn't you, that was wantin' to hurt me, was it?" quietly.

[emocaliban]

"I'd never want to hurt you." Just as quietly.

[youngandhealthy]

"Aye. Tis as I'd thought, then. I'd not blame ye for what's no fault of yours."

[emocaliban]

"What if it happens again?" Almost desperately, but there's something else in his voice too. "I - oh God, I deliberately hurt you."

"Ye threatened me, sir," she corrects. "Not th'same."

Well, that's a cringe. "I could have done worse."

[youngandhealthy]

"Aye, but ye did not."

[emocaliban]

"But if I had-"

Helpful Caliban is so helpful.

[youngandhealthy]

Firmly, "Then I've many a friend t'help me stay safe."

[emocaliban]

Gunnghhh.

But he's still groping for reasons it's not a good idea, and trying to fight the urge to say "OKAY SOUNDS GOOD" at the top of his lungs, because that would be Not Wise.

This does mean that he's silent, for once, though.
