Thanks! As I was writing this I had the thought that hey I'm writing about the finer points of beeswax, if I can make this actually interesting to this audience of non-beekeepers that will be an accomplishment!

This is fascinating! I never thought much about the long-term mechanics of the hive, or of the bees themselves, who know when it's time to move on.
