As an Australian who has been living in the US for 13 years, I still can't bring myself to put fruit salad on the same plate as savoury foods. Fruit salad is dessert, to be eaten after the main meal.

I haven't had a meal on a plane in decades, just pathetic little bags of crackers. Also, last time I was on a plane I forgot to bring a book and was so bored I actually watched Cruella over the shoulder of the woman sitting next to me.
What bugs me are those tricycles with long handles on the back so the parent pushes the kid around all day and the kid doesn't have to so much as touch the pedals.
