I don't generally sleep on planes either, especially if I'm alone. I was once up for 50 hours straight, but that's the record.

Oddly enough, I was just talking about Sir Gawain and the Green Knight two days ago. I read it almost 30 years ago, and probably haven't discussed it since. I didn't know there was a movie version. I have an English degree for undergrad, and one of our ballroom dancing friends who is an engineer is getting an English degree from Oxford as a hobby that he took up when his wife died. So we talk literature.

Glad you are home safely!

Oh you'll have to watch this Green Knight version then! I'll be curious what you think about it (-:

You made the Northman more interesting to me than the trailers did, and I will watch it now if it becomes available. Same with the Green Knight, even thought you know, it has been told to death. Oh, and thank you for the Mr. Jones critique. Definitely one I want to see now, and would not have even glanced twice because of the title.

Yeah I'll admit, the trailers didn't inspire me much either. Even though i like viking stuff the trailers kind of portrayed it like just a dumb action movie with swords. It was literally only that incidentally near the end of the trailer one hears someone say "Amleth" that i sat up like wait what did you just say?

good that you noticed! A few years ago I was excited when The Vikings series started, but it turned out to be graphic blood and sex, with a little content tossed in. I gave it up after three tries to watch it.

Hubby and I really enjoyed “Nobody,” including the Christopher Lloyd scenes; I got the impression that he was laying low in the retirement home, but still very capable of looking after himself.

You might also like RED if you haven’t seen it.
