Where It All Began

( What came before   It's a beautiful sunny morning in the Dominican Republic. The woman sitting across from us at the outdoor table hands me a pen and with a broad smile tells me "I just need you to sign right here." I look over at Cristina, but she looks at me with a blank expression, her large brown eyes expressing a zenful lack of guidance, ( Read more... )

This place Tres Ojos is a cenote. There are tons of them in southeastern Mexico and into Guatemala.

Oh Mike and I fell into the hotel trap first time we met. It was a free breakfast lead by a staffmember from the hotel. I didn't understand why the man was sitting at our table having breakfast with us and asking about us. Then after that he drove us back to the hotel to show us the different rooms. Alright we already booked one, and we are already there so who cares about the other rooms? Then he lead us to a floor which has tables and chairs and make us sit there and tried to sell us a room or membership or something.
Mike had hard time to say not to the man, probably because it was the first time we met and he was nervous. But I had no problem to said NO, over and over to finally tell to the man that Michael is paying a new house he bought 1 year ago so we aren't able to spend money in that. The man looked mad at me, probably because he spent 2 hours working on that, but anyways gave us a Visa gift card with $100 to spend wherever we want.
We don't accept anymore those breakfasts, our time worths more than $100!
Lovely photos!

Oh wow! But yeah, it's awkward when you have just met and you don't want to seem like you're just bad tempered-ly shooting things down of your own initiative!

The prize they were hanging over out head was a free massage but I could feel them stealing away the best hours of the day with their 90 minute thing at 10am and was like man if we want to get god damn massages we'll just god damn pay for them this is ridiculous. lol

You seem able to visit Miami regular do you mind my asking what the visa situation is? This is an obvious area of interest to me now (:

I usually go to Orlando not Miami but it's the same. I did my Visa before Trump's elected president and I didn't had issues to get it because in my country for the law I have my own business plus I work for a company so my financial situation guarantees to USA that I have many reasons to come back to my country and the money for do that ( ... )

Oh wow!! You didn't opt to meet somewhere in the middle like we did?

So is it a tourist visa you have/get?

Sadly, Venezuala being a place people are fleeing as refugees by droves, I think she'll get the maximum suspicion about wanting to just get out and stay in the US. I think we're not even gonna try -- concentrating on getting her here to Australia (plus, this is where I am so getting her access to enter the US is just so she can meet my family), which should be a _little_ easier, but still, the situation in Venezuala does NOT help.
