I realized at some point that you had already made this trip, and so there's no hope in my pointing out things for you to visit... unless you go again. :D

I will say that, if you drive through parts of the center of Oregon, there are the John Day Fossil Beds in about 6-7 different locations, and those are worth seeing. And that I hope you saw Hell's Canyon while you were over near the border. :O

I'm glad Mike understood the need for True Bacontm. And now I iterate my suggestion to visit Giant Burgers in Springfield sometime, to get their triple-bacon burger. \o/

Haha yeah blogging As It Happens is well beyond me. I do appreciate tips though! I've been up and down this way a number of times already and I am quite confident I will continue to do so! I'm thinking if for whatever reason it becomes untentiable for me to remain in exile here in Australia I might come settle in upper Washington. (:
