We are in Spokane today to pick up granny from the airport. Hope you had a good time here. It never struck me as a tourist destination...

Haha I just posted my entry about it, as you'll see we pretty much went straight through Spokane to Coeur D'Alene. Then came back and did the botanical garden and then I hiked all around the Bowl and Pitcher state park which I thought was nice.

I miss Eugene sometimes! What a great town.

My Mom was bitter for *years* about getting a speeding ticket in Weed. Probably still is xD

Eugene does seem lovely! I have another friend in Eugene I would have liked to see but there just wasn't time. I'll have to come back some time!

We have made the trip from Sacramento to Eugene so many times, it isn't funny. I'm from Oregon, and my parents' house is in Eugene, so it has been some 29-30 years of that drive. o_O ( ... )

Yeah the area between Sacramento and Redding is pretty dull.

I'll have to keep a look out for the sculpture.

You ever go the 97 route?

Got any secret favorite places to get food along the way?

We came back via 97 once, because we were over at Crater Lake. Klamath Falls is not very attractive, but Crater Lake is gorgeous and the view of Shasta over Weed is front and center for quite awhile, so while going North via 97 is a waste, coming South on it into Weed is definitely worth it ( ... )
