Sunday, October 18th, Day 14 - Departures are different than arrivals. It's always the same. On arrival people look up curiously from their tasks as I go by, children excitedly stare from behind houses but run when they see me look their way, but there's no big crowds. Wonderful! Love learning about different places and cultures. We take the ease with which we can get from place to place for granted. It's a good thing to see how different things are in other parts of the world.

What a bummer that the Heifer people were such douchebags. Still, I know they get a lot of questions from really dumb members of the public along the lines of "Uh... could you take my horse? She's 19 years old and lame, but maybe someone in Africa could use her. I'll give her to ya for free..." so maybe that's just their default.
